Day hospital and clinic

Maximizing potential with adaptable small-space functionality.

This multifunctional medical building, standing 12 meters tall with three floors, integrates versatile and flexible functionality within a compact space to support patient care across aesthetic medicine, dermatology, and ophthalmology. It houses a one-day hospital with patient rooms and two operating rooms designed for minimally invasive, endoscopic procedures. The ground and first floors include admission areas and specialized outpatient clinics equipped with advanced safety and electrical energy management systems.

Set back from Geodetów Street, the building features a green buffer zone and surface parking, with landscaping based on native Mazovia species to enhance biodiversity and ecosystem stability. Its distinctive facade geometry tilts from the first floor up, forming a recognizable landmark that contributes to climate resilience by reducing summer heat gain through strategic shading. A bay window with downward-sloping top complements this sloping facade skin, while the canopy above the main entrance blends softly shaped structural elements with the facade’s design.

The canopy and window trims feature patterns inspired by the soft geometry of the human face and eye, a motif echoed throughout the building’s aesthetic details, including the staircase railing, ceiling divisions, site fencing, and multifunctional shelter, creating a cohesive visual identity and welcoming atmosphere.

The facade’s dynamic geometry is supported by a specially engineered steel substructure. Through advanced 3D modeling and close collaboration with structural optimization experts, the load-bearing framework is precisely crafted to support the facade panels that define its distinctive outer layer.

The south-facing windows feature a design detail that shields the rooms from overheating while adding a vibrant accent to the upper facade. This thoughtful feature enhances energy efficiency and visual appeal, making the building both functional and distinctive.

Canopy

The canopy above the main entrance serves as a standout architectural feature, welcoming visitors as they arrive. Its unique geometric design is clearly visible both from outside the building and from the patient waiting area on the ground floor, enhancing the overall sense of place.

The staircase railing thoughtfully extends the design motif found throughout the building’s details, while emphasizing practical elegance.

Place recognition

Place recognition extends to the exterior, where the site fencing complements the facade and interior details. Like the staircase, this element is optimized through the repetition of design components, creating visual harmony and cohesion.

The small architectural structure housing the power generator and waste containers is designed to harmonize with the rest of the project. Due to site constraints, this structure is positioned at the front of the property, maintaining visual coherence with the overall design.

The Building’s Green Path.

The project includes both passive and active solutions to enhance climate resilience and reduce operating costs. South-facing windows and ground-floor storefronts feature shading elements. The roof and shelters are covered with greenery. Energy from planned photovoltaic panels will power the building’s lighting. Landscaping uses native Mazovia species to support biodiversity, ecosystem stability, and improve soil and air quality.

The construction is scheduled to be completed in early 2027.
