The Seaside Garden has been named a finalist in the 17th edition of the Best Public Space of the Pomeranian Voivodeship competition.
At the heart of the ECR medical complex in Sopot lies the Seaside Garden. Set just 400 metres from the shore of the Baltic Sea, it forms part of a project that has revitalised over 11,000 m² of degraded land, creating a biologically active, integrated park that is freely accessible to pedestrians.
Planted with the native vegetation of coastal dunes, it stretches between the two buildings and draws the site into the city’s network of walking routes, linking the Sopockie Błonia with the retention reservoir to the north. It was designed to be more than filler between buildings: it retains and filters rainwater, supports biodiversity and creates a calming, therapeutic setting for patients, staff and local residents.
